Search, shortcuts & the tour
Find anything and move anywhere without reaching for the mouse.
Firebeam is built to be driven from the keyboard. The command palette searches your whole workspace and runs common actions; a guided tour and an onboarding checklist help new members get oriented. This page covers the fast ways to get around.
The command palette
Press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux) anywhere in the app to open the command palette, a single box that searches everything and lists the things you can do. It is the fastest way to reach any project, item, module or page without hunting through the sidebar.
Search everything
Start typing and the palette searches across your projects, work items, retro themes and reports at once, showing live results as you go. Pick one to jump straight to it. Recent destinations are remembered, so the things you open often are a keystroke away.
Actions and navigation from the keyboard
Beyond search, the palette runs actions: switch the active project, start a new project, invite a teammate, toggle light or dark theme, collapse the sidebar, change language, launch the tour, or sign out. Every help topic is in there too. Arrow keys move, Enter runs, Esc closes. You can do a whole session without the mouse.
The guided tour
A four-step spotlight tour introduces the layout: the welcome, the sidebar, the setup checklist and search. It starts once automatically for new members who are still setting up, and you can relaunch it any time from the Getting started help page, so there is no cost to skipping it the first time.
The onboarding checklist
New workspaces show a Get started checklist on the dashboard (connect a tracker, create a project, see your FlowLens board, activate a module), with each step linking to the right page and ticking itself off as you go. Dismiss it when you are done; you can bring it back from the Getting started help page whenever you like.
