Projects & team
Who can see what, and which data belongs where.
Projects group tracker sources into the units your modules analyze; team management controls who is in the workspace and what they can access. Both live in the admin section of the sidebar.
Projects
A project bundles one or more tracker sources, for example a Jira project plus two GitHub repositories. Every module reads through the active project selected in the sidebar. Admins create, edit and delete projects; deleting a project removes its module data after an explicit confirmation.
The active project
The switcher in the sidebar sets the active project for all modules at once. If a module looks empty, check the active project first. It is the most common reason.
Inviting members
Admins invite members by email. Pending invitations can be cancelled; plan seat limits count both members and open invitations.
Roles
Admins manage integrations, projects, members, billing and company settings. Members use the modules. Roles can be changed at any time.
Per-member access
Members can be restricted to specific projects, specific modules, or both (useful for contractors or client-facing guests who should see exactly one project's data and nothing else).
Module activation
Modules are activated per workspace from the dashboard. Which modules can be activated is decided by your plan; activated modules appear in the sidebar for everyone with access to them.
The three roles, precisely
Firebeam has three roles. Viewers read dashboards and module output. Project managers additionally edit projects, configure modules, run analyses, manage integrations and see the whole team's assignments. Admins can do everything a project manager can, plus manage members and billing. Any unrecognized role falls back to viewer.
Requesting access to a locked module
If a member needs a module they cannot see, they can request access to it from the module's locked screen; admins receive the request and can grant it. It is the self-serve path around per-member restrictions without handing out broad access.
